NAME

Breadcrumbs - Personal Web Recorder and Search Engine

SYNOPSIS

Use Breadcrumbs to record web pages you visit and want to find later.

DESCRIPTION

How do I record the web sites?

The default is to save and index pages. To change this, go to
        Tools > Breadcrumbs > Breadcrumbs On/Off.

How do I search my saved pages?

Look for the Breadcrumbs icon in your search toolbar in the upper
        right-hand side of your browser.

Can I search my pages away from the computer?

Yes, if you know your IP, and you are not behind a firewall/router/NAT.

What is my IP?

        See http://www.ipchicken.com/

How do I restrict access to my server?

In 'Options > Breadcrumbs > Manage Breadcrumbs ...', set a password and
        uncheck "Allow world access"

What are the options?

Password Protect Site
It is a good idea for you to password protect your site. This will prevent others from viewing your browsing habits. When checked, a username and password are required to use your server.

Login ID
This is enabled when ``Password Protect Site'' is checked.

Password
This is enabled when ``Password Protect Site'' is checked.

Port
This is the port number after the IP or hostname for your server, such as http://localhost:6669. Changing this will prevent your Breadcrumbs search plugin on the toolbar from working.

Blacklist
This is a list of sites that cannot be searched or saved. For example, adding ``.yahoo.com'' will prevent ``sports.yahoo.com'' and ``mail.yahoo.com'' from being searched or saved.

Friends
This is a list of other computers you would like to search concurrently with your own search. All results are consolidated into a single screen. You can enter IP values or hostnames here.

Are there bugs?

Yes. Non-western character sets are not supported.
